The Most Practical Skills Training Experience EVER!
Explosive Growth Possibilities in Private-Practice!

The design of this program provides instruction in the following four key areas:
|
Different people use tobacco for different reasons, and are addicted at different levels. Learn to assess and evaluate dependency factors and lifestyle patterns, in order to create more effective treatment plans and relapse prevention strategies.

When you treat tobacco dependency, you are also treating depression, anger, and social behaviors.
People who smoke relate to their cigarettes better than to other people; they use their cigarettes to control social situations. Smokers who get angry will automatically reach for the pack, depressed smokers will simply light up rather than take healthy actions.
Treatment of tobacco dependency requires the development of counseling strategies that can equip clients to face life tobacco free - and also develop a new sense of identity.
Practical strategies for addressing adolescent tobacco dependency, smokeless tobacco dependency, and the unique needs of special populations are included in this course. |
|

Learn the information and skills you need to effectively treat tobacco dependency, including:
Nicotine Replacement Therapies
Lifestyle Change and Wellness Approaches
Cognitive, Behavioral and Spiritual Approaches
Learn what works, what does not work, and how to develop treatment plans in counseling, healthcare, corporate, education or fitness settings.

They say most smokers try to quit at least 8 or 9 times before they finally succeed.
If you are prepared to offer relapse prevention counseling, you can increase the efficacy of your services. Increased success means healthier clients, greater levels of referral and increased job satisfaction.
This course will teach the skills necessary to assess relapse potential and help clients finally succeed - even following relapse. |

HOTEL:
-
You may make hotel reservations at the Tropicana (training location) or any hotel.
-
We recommend searching for the best deals on Hotels.com.
-
-
-
Deals can be found at any strip hotel, and the Monorail is available for those staying on the East side of the strip or at the Las Vegas Hilton.
-
For deluxe accommodations, we recommend the next door MGM hotel, or the convenience of Paris, the Flamingo or Bally's, or the new Aladdin/Planet Hollywood, due to proximity of the Monorail.
-
If you stay at Bellagio, Treasure Island or Mirage you will be very happy, but bring taxi fare or rent a car since it's too far to walk to the Tropicana.
-
The Tropicana is on a corner surrounded by New York, New York, MGM and the Excalibur, with Hooters next door to the Tropicana. These 5 hotels offer the most convenience. Luxor is another great nearby location you can easily walk from.
-
If you take the monorail to Tropicana get off at MGM or Luxor/Excalibur and cross the bridge by foot to Tropicana, it's a very short walk.
-
If you stay downtown on Freemont Street, enjoy the light show! But you will need a car or have a lot of taxi money. The Golden Nugget is the nicest hotel downtown (a Mirage room at half the price), the others can be kinda dumpy but fun. The Plaza, Fitzgerald's, or the Horseshoe are older hotels and can be a little ragged, but very old school Vegas and sort of "trippy" to stay in. Staying on Freemont street is fun, and cheaper than the strip, but about a 15-20 minute drive to the Tropicana. You can stay at the Tropicana Ave. Motel 6 and walk to the Tropicana if its not raining and you wear tennis shoes.
RENTAL CAR:
AIRFARE:
-
For cheap non-stop flights from Oklahoma and Texas, check out Southwest.com and AllegiantAir.com. USAir/America West has a lot of cheap flights, and so does Midway Airlines and Jet Blue. Almost everyone flys in and out of Las Vegas. Use Orbitz.com to compare fares, but many of the low cost carriers listed above require you make reservations directly from their website, and do not participate in travel websites like Orbitz, etc.
-
Plan ahead, and you can find non-stop jet service from most cities for less than $100 and sometime as low as $59, each way. Richard has been know to snag up fares as low as $21 each way on Allegiant Air, and Southwest isn't too far behind. Frontier Airlines, Champion Air and ATA are other low-cost carriers with frequent flights.
-
We are not responsible for registrations due to travel complications or delays related to weather or other delay, and refunds will not be issued (but a program credit will be issued) if you miss these events. We suggest planning to arrive a day or two early, you will enjoy that time in Las Vegas anyway. Partial credit will not be awarded for those who leave early, book your flight accordingly.
